August 07, 2003 :: New Sailor Moon Series to Air

A new live action Sailormoon show, titled "Pretty Guardian Sailormoon," will be airing this Fall in Japan. The new series will air on TBS/CBC Channel 26 on October 4, 2003 (Saturday) and will run from 7:30 AM to 8:00 AM. Information about the show was announced at a news conference in Yokohama, Japan on July 31, 2003. The actresses portraying the Sailor Senshi (See right) are wearing outfits that follow those of the manga (ie. the belts around Venus' and Jupiter's waists). However, it has not been announced whether or not the new live action series will follow the manga or the anime, or have a new story line. All five of the main actresses are fairly young, ranging in age from 14 to 17. No information has been released tey about the supporting cast or villains.
